Nigel Jackson qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and has worked for both Coward Chance on banking matters and Clifford Turner which eventually merged into Clifford Chance in 1987. He is very experienced in corporate finance matters such as takeovers and mergers, acquisitions of companies and businesses as well as insolvency matters. He also headed up for 2 years the Insolvency Department at Nicholson Graham and Jones (now known as KL Gates LLP).

From 1993 to 2011 he ran his own legal practice which carried out company/commercial, insolvency and intellectual property matters both in connection with contentious and non-contentious matters and he now carries out work in all those areas as well as on many other High Court litigation and mediation matters.

He has contributed to law books on financial lending matters as well as on intellectual property matters and has been involved in advocacy both at the High Court and in the County Courts.

Nigel has considerable experience of intellectual property and technology matters and invested in a company in 1997 which was proposed for flotation in 2000 but which was subsequently sold in 2011 to a well known US corporation. He assisted that company in raising finance and is experienced in venture capital and all types of corporate matters. In 2012 he was involved in the acquisition of a very well known football club.

When he is not engaged in the law his main hobbies are travelling (mainly around South East Asia), guitar playing and song writing.
